Credit Union Central of Canada held its 53rd annual general meeting on Thursday, May 3 at its Toronto office.

Two new directors were appointed to the board: Gerard Adams from Credit Union Central of New Brunswick for the Atlantic Region and Rowland Kelly of Credit Union Central of British Columbia for the Pacific Region. Penny Reeves was re-appointed from Credit Union Central of Alberta for the Prairie Region.

Two directors completed their terms and retired from the board: Richard Gill of Credit Union Central of  Prince Edward Island and Henry Jansen of Credit Union Central of British Columbia.

Wayne Nygren, former president chief executive officer of the Credit Union Central of  British Columbia, was inducted into Credit Union Central of Canada’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his years of service to the credit union movement. His award will be presented Aug. 1 in Calgary as part of the World Council of Credit Unions Conference.
