Sid Bildfell, CEO of SaskCentral, has announced he is retiring, effective January 4, 2008.

Sid started his career in the credit union system in 1966. He has held various positions in the credit union system in a number of communities throughout Saskatchewan. Sid has been CEO of SaskCentral since 1993.

During his career, Sid demonstrated his leadership skills in many local, provincial and national initiatives in the credit union system. Sid's vision was to develop a number of strategic partners, so that credit unions and their members would have a wide range of products and
services. Under Sid's leadership the Saskatchewan credit union system has grown significantly.

 A recruitment process for a new CEO for SaskCentral will be determined by the board of directors.

Sid and his wife Cathy intend to spend more time traveling, golfing and visiting with their granddaughter.
