Barry Johnson has been appointed Acting President and CEO of Alberta Central, effective Oct. 1.

Johnson, who had been executive vice-president, replaces Jim Scopick who announced on April 3 his plans to retire at the end of the year.  In accordance with Scopicks’s announcement and his to ensure an orderly transition and continuity, Alberta Central's board has appointed Johnson.

Scopick will remain on staff until December 31, to provide advice and complete some assignments that require his continued involvement.
