Bobby McVeigh attended the International Co-operative Alliance’s General Assembly in Singapore from Oct. 14-19.

The event, entitled Innovation in Co-operative Business, attracted more than 1,060 delegates from 67 countries. The session included keynote presentations from José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs, executive director of the International Labour Office; Lim Boon Heng, minister in the Prime Minister of Singapore’s office and chair of the Social Enterprise Development Council of the Singapore National Trades Union Congress; and David Cook CEO of The Natural Step.

McVeigh, a director of Credit Union Central of Canada and former chair of the World Council of Credit Unions, met with representatives from TCC, a Singapore-based  credit union.
