Credit Union Central of Canada Welcomes Code of Conduct for the Debit and Credit Card Industry

Credit Union Central of Canada (Canadian Central) favours an approach to debit and credit cards that promotes responsible business practices ensuring that merchants and consumers clearly understand the benefits as well as the costs associated with credit and debit cards.

On May 17, Canadian Central wrote to Finance Minister Jim Flaherty to outline its position with respect to the Code, to welcome it and to consent to adopting it.
